This is just a little snippet of code I used to use on one of my games that had a map to explore. If you also have a map in your game, and if you don't support keyboard movement, shame on you!

I just got another idea on how to protect data :)
I got this idea from a response to my earlier post on using SHA-1 and MD5 together. This person said, why not use SHA-1 on an MD5 hash? I was about to rebuke him, but then I thought about it ...

There are already so many people using so many different combinations of MD5 and SHA-1 to protect sensitive data in games as well as elsewhere. Different methods are used, such as salting, multiple stages of encryption, etc.
